Tony Blackman has spent his life in the aircraft industry as a test pilot, as an avionics specialist and then on the Board of UK Civil Aviation Authority as the Technical Member.

Great Read

As a veteran with over 4000 hours flying time on this beautiful aircraft, it was wonderful to read such praise for an unsung warhorse. Many of the anecdotal accounts were from MR2 days but I think the author captured the differences between flying on the three different versions. Tremendous insight as to the demise of the MR4A and another political faux pas when it comes to the British aerospace industry. I finished this book in two days of travelling as it is well written and a great read for any aviation enthusiast, especially us "old timers".
