About the Author
A former coach and high school history teacher, Tony W. Johnson earned his Ph.D. in the history and philosophy of education from George Peabody College for Teachers, now part of Vanderbilt University.�� Receiving the Algernon Sidney Sullivan Award as Peabody’s outstanding graduate, Dr. Johnson earned a “pass with distinction” evaluation of his dissertation, The Old Moral Philosophy Course: Its Continuing Legacy in 1978.� As a faculty member and academic administrator, Dr. Johnson has provided innovative and entrepreneurial leadership to four significantly different institutions:� The University of Texas at San Antonio; The University of North Carolina at Greensboro;� West Chester University of Pennsylvania; and The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina.

Awesome book if you need it for the class or if you are into philosophical works. The summaries of the philosophers were useful.

very informative and very clean (preowned) copy of book

The timelines for the philosophers were helpful but especially the introductions given for each. Soft cover more manageable too. The shipping was decent--not super fast but on the quicker side.
